Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Interact with IPS Probationers
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, will interact with Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers from the 76 RR (2023 Batch) in New Delhi on October 15, 2024. The probationary officers will share their training experiences with Shah, who will also offer guidance on tackling internal security challenges.
As per Ministry of Home Affairs statement , young police officers play a vital role in achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. The 2023 IPS batch consists of 188 officer trainees, including 54 women officers, who have completed the Basic Course Training Phase-1.
After a two-week training session with Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organisations in Delhi, the IPS trainee officers will undergo 29 weeks of district practical training in their respective cadres.
This meeting underscores the government’s commitment to empowering young police officers and ensuring they are adequately prepared to address complex security challenges. By leveraging their skills and expertise, India can move closer to achieving its development goals.
