Kiev, Ukraine – September 30, 2024

Ukraine has launched the uResidency program, allowing foreign entrepreneurs to establish and manage businesses remotely through electronic residency, backed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. The initiative targets freelancers in the IT and creative sectors.

The program offers a 5% income tax rate on earnings up to $200,000, simplified business operations, transparent fees, digital contract signing, and location-independent business with recognized legal status.

India-based freelancers, including software engineers and marketing specialists, are among the first to benefit, having already completed beta testing, says Ukraine Govt.

“This program opens doors for global entrepreneurs to tap into Ukraine’s vibrant tech ecosystem,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation.

Ukraine aims to establish itself as a hub for remote work and innovation, fostering global business opportunities and economic growth.

The uResidency program is a government-backed initiative to attract international talent and boost Ukraine’s economy. It features simplified registration, access to partner banks, collaboration opportunities with Ukrainian businesses, and remote business management.

Eligible applicants include freelancers and entrepreneurs worldwide, primarily in IT and creative sectors. Interested applicants can apply online through the uResidency website.
