Ukraine, G20 Nations Unite on Peace Formula Implementation
Ukraine Moves Closer to Peace: Joint Document on Peace Formula Implementation to be Prepared in November
In a significant development, Ukraine’s Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, announced that a joint document outlining the implementation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Peace Formula will be prepared by early November. This move follows a meeting between Yermak, Minister for Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha, and ambassadors from G20 countries to Ukraine.
The meeting, attended by representatives from major global powers, focused on the implementation process of the Peace Formula. Ukrainian ambassadors to these countries joined the discussion online.
Andriy Yermak noted that thematic conferences based on each Peace Formula point will conclude this month, resulting in joint communiqués outlining principles, proposed solutions, and concrete steps for implementation. These will be summarized in a joint document, paving the way for meaningful negotiations.
Ukraine is open to discussing alternative proposals aligned with international law and the UN Charter, particularly on the sidelines of the G20 Summit. Yermak emphasized the need for a joint document to serve as a basis for negotiations, ensuring a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
Minister Sybiha reiterated Ukraine’s stance that any initiatives developed without its participation will not be supported, stressing “Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.” He also emphasized that no initiatives should compete with the Peace Formula or divide the international community.
The meeting, attended by representatives from Brazil, Australia, Argentina, the UK, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Türkiye, the EU, France, Germany, South Africa, Japan, the US, and Canada, focused on the implementation process of the Peace Formula.
This development marks a significant step towards peace in Ukraine, with the international community coming together to support peace efforts.
