Study in Korea Fair 2024 Held at Delhi University to Promote Bilateral Education and Cultural Exchange

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea, the National Institute for International Education (NIIED), and the University of Delhi collaborated to host the “Study in Korea Fair 2024” on June 28-29 at Delhi University’s Multipurpose Hall. This inaugural event in India featured 16 Korean universities, offering a platform for Indian students to explore higher education opportunities in Korea.

Universities such as Ajou University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and Kyunghee University showcased their programs, admissions processes, and campus life to students, educators, and academic representatives from across India. Attendees engaged directly with university representatives, learning about scholarship options like the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS).

Indian alumni who studied in Korea shared their experiences, providing insights into academic life and cultural adaptation. Deputy Chief of Mission LIM Sang Woo expressed hope that Korea will contribute to nurturing India’s future leaders.

Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) LIM Sang Woo said,

“I am pleased to have convened the first-ever Study in Korea Fair in India and I hope Korea will contribute to nurturing the future leaders of India.”

while Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh hoped that the event would open up opportunities for Indian students to study in Korea.

The fair aimed to promote bilateral education and cultural exchange, featuring cultural performances and a Collaboration Corner for educational institutions to explore partnership opportunities.

The event aligns with Korea’s Study Korea 300K project, which aims to establish Korea as a global education powerhouse by 2027. By restructuring visa policies and permanent residency options, Korea seeks to attract foreign students, particularly from India.
