Revolutionizing Education in Chhattisgarh’s Naxal-Affected Areas: Robotics and AI Introduced in Curriculum

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Chhattisgarh government has launched the “Niyad Nellanar” scheme, aiming to enhance education and skill development in Naxal-affected and tribal regions. Under this program, 800 government schools will implement skill education, training 1,600 teachers to provide modern skills and life skills education to 40,000 students.

In collaboration with the Magic Bus India Foundation, the scheme includes cutting-edge subjects like robotics and artificial intelligence (AI), aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023.

The initiative begins in Kanker and Kondagaon, expanding to all 33 districts, providing benefits from 53 beneficiary schemes and 28 community facilities. Ayushman cards have been issued to villagers, granting access to education and healthcare benefits.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasizes primary education in the mother tongue in tribal areas to preserve cultural identity and enhance quality education. Education Secretary Siddharth Komal Pardeshi highlights the need for creative, employment-oriented courses to prepare students for modern challenges.

This effort marks a significant step towards building a developed India, empowering youth in remote tribal areas through skill education. Magic Bus India Foundation’s CEO, Jayant Rastogi, stresses the critical role of skill education in enhancing educational outcomes.
