Rang De Korea 2024: India’s Largest Korean Culture Festival Takes Delhi by Storm
New Delhi,-The third edition of Rang De Korea, India’s biggest Korean culture festival, rocked the capital city, celebrating the vibrant cultural bond between Korea and India.
Organized by the Korean Cultural Centre India at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Auditorium, the mega event featured performances by K-pop groups, fusion concerts, traditional Korean martial arts, and more.
The event was inaugurated by Chang Jae-bok, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, and Jaideep Mazumdar, Secretary East, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Ambassador Chang Jae-bok emphasized the growing cultural ties between Korea and India, built on mutual respect and shared stories.

Ambassador of Republic of Korea to India Chang Jae-bok said, “ The friendship between Korea and India is built on mutual respect, shared stories, and deep cultural ties. We honour the enduring legacy of the matrimonial alliance between the Indian princess from Ayodhya and the Korean King Kim Suro, as well as the spiritual bonds fostered through Buddhism.”
NTX, a rising K-pop star, debuted in India with a special fan meet-and-greet event, thrilling the audience with their performance. Ha Minwoo performed unreleased songs and expressed love for Indian audiences. Uuheeska presented a modern recreation of traditional Korean comedy play, while Balkwang showcased Taekkyeon, a traditional Korean martial art. Pax Arari combined traditional Korean instruments with piano.
The outdoor plaza offered an immersive experience with Korean ramen, snacks, beauty products, Hanbok, crafts, and more.
Hwang Il Yong, Director of Korean Cultural Centre India, hoped the event would demonstrate the excellence of original Korean culture and the Korean Wave. “Korean culture and the Korean Wave in India have now grown into mainstream culture throughout India and especially in large cities such as Delhi and Mumbai,” he said.
The semi-final of the 14th All India K-Pop Contest, sponsored by LG Electronics India, was held simultaneously with Rang De Korea. The festival concluded on October 20, leaving an indelible mark on India’s cultural landscape.
Rang De Korea has become a symbol of Korean culture in Delhi, offering a platform to enjoy and experience it. Launched in 2022, the event has firmly established itself in a short span of time. This year’s event was a megaton-level festival encompassing various genres of content.
