NIA Conducts Searches in Reasi Terror Attack Case, Seizes Incriminating Materials

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at multiple locations in Rajouri district, Jammu & Kashmir, on Sunday, in connection with the Reasi terrorist attack that occurred on June 9, 2024. The attack resulted in the death of nine people, including a child, when terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying pilgrims.

The NIA, which took over the investigation on June 15, 2024, searched five locations linked to hybrid terrorists and Overground Workers (OGWs), based on information provided by the arrested accused, Hakam Khan @ Hakin din. The searches yielded various items that suggest linkages between the terrorists and OGWs.

The seized materials are currently being examined by the NIA to unravel the terror conspiracy. The agency is working to uncover the network and motives behind the attack. This investigation is a significant step in bringing the perpetrators to justice and ensuring the safety of the region.

The case, registered as RC-02/2024/NIA/JMU, is an ongoing investigation, and the NIA is working tirelessly to uncover the truth behind the Reasi terror attack.
