Israel’s Largest-Ever CEO Delegation Visits India to Deepen Economic Ties

New Delhi: A high-level CEO delegation from Israel, led by Minister of Economy and Industry MK Nir Barkat, concluded two day visit to India. The delegation, comprising over 100 top Israeli CEOs from various sectors, including healthcare, cybersecurity, energy, automotive, and hi-tech.
During the visit, the Israeli delegation engaged in high-level meetings with Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, Indian business leaders and policymakers, exploring opportunities for collaboration in areas such as advanced manufacturing, fintech, MedTech, agritech, renewable energy, and cybersecurity.
Minister Nir Barkat emphasized the strategic importance of the delegation’s mission, stating that it marked a new era of economic collaboration between Israel and India. “We are here not just to do business, but to forge lasting strategic partnerships that will drive mutual growth,” he said.
A key highlight of the visit was the Israel-India Business Forum, held in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The forum brought together over 400 business leaders from key Indian industries, facilitating meaningful connections and opening new avenues for bilateral trade, investment, and innovation.
Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, noted that the visit was a manifestation of unprecedented Israeli interest in the Indian economy. “The size and profile of the Israeli business delegation visiting India… is a testament to the growing importance of India as a strategic partner for Israel,” he said.
With this historic visit, Israel and India have taken a significant step forward in strengthening their economic ties, paving the way for increased collaboration, innovation, and mutual growth.
“This was the third visit of Minister Barkat to New Delhi in the past two years, and this time, he led one of the biggest business delegations to ever leave Israel.
