New Delhi: The Indian Navy successfully concluded its flagship Theatre Level Operational Exercise, TROPEX-25, after a three-month-long operational cycle. The exercise, which ended in early March, validated the Navy’s operational concepts and assessed its combat readiness.

TROPEX-25 was a massive exercise, with participation from 65-70 Indian Naval ships, 9-10 submarines, and over 80 aircraft. The Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard also took part, with assets including Sukhoi-30, Jaguar, C-130, Flight Refueller, and AWACS aircraft, over 600 Infantry troops, and more than 10 ICG ships.

The exercise included an Amphibious Exercise (AMPHEX), a Joint Work Up Phase, Cyber and Electronic Warfare, and a Tactical Phase. This comprehensive approach enabled the Navy to evaluate its ability to respond to various challenges and defend national maritime security interests.

The exercise was set in the Indian Ocean, covering an area of approximately 4,300 nm from North to South and 5,000 nm from West to East. The vast geographical scope of the exercise demonstrated the Navy’s operational reach and flexibility.

TROPEX-25 marked the culmination of an intense operational campaign, reaffirming the Indian Navy’s commitment to being a Combat-ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future-ready Force.
