India-Kyrgyzstan Joint Military Exercise KHANJAR-XII Begins

The 12th edition of the joint military exercise between India and Kyrgyzstan, KHANJAR-XII, commenced on March 10, 2025, in Kyrgyzstan. The exercise will run until March 23, 2025.
This annual joint exercise aims to enhance military cooperation and interoperability between the two nations. The exercise will focus on counter-terrorism operations, special forces tactics, and high-altitude warfare.
The Indian contingent consists of troops from The Parachute Regiment (Special Forces), while the Kyrgyzstan contingent is represented by the Kyrgyz Scorpion Brigade.
The exercise will include training sessions, demonstrations, and joint operations. The participants will also engage in cultural exchanges, including celebrating the Kyrgyz festival Nowruz.
Exercise KHANJAR-XII demonstrates the strong bilateral defense relationship between India and Kyrgyzstan and their commitment to regional security and cooperation.
