General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, highlighted the critical relationship between national security and nation-building at the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2024. He emphasized the need for robust institutions, effective governance, inclusive growth, and social transformation to foster a strong nation.
General Dwivedi noted the Army’s diverse contributions to India’s development, including economic growth, social cohesion, skill development, and environmental sustainability. He advocated for a unified approach combining diplomacy, development, and military strength to achieve sustainable progress.
The Indian Army showcased its digital transformation initiatives, unveiling over 100 projects in digitization and automation. This modernization drive aligns with the Government’s Digital India Mission, enhancing the Army’s operational readiness and national security capabilities.
