Germany’s participation will focus on sustainability and diversity, reflecting shared global values. The theme pavilion, Shelf Life, designed by renowned architect Anupama Kundoo, will showcase the importance of books and knowledge in shaping human civilization.
The book fair will feature a range of programs, including engaging discussions with authors and literary experts, workshops and panel discussions on publishing and translation, information sessions on studying and working in Germany, interactive workshops and storytelling sessions for children, and a showcase of scientific literature and innovations.
“The German pavilion at the Fair will be a meeting place for anyone looking to engage with German
authors, publishers, and educators, and will also offer aspiring students and professionals upto-date information about learning the German language and living and working in Germany.” said Dr. Marla Stukenberg, Regional Director, Goethe-Institut South Asia.
Renowned authors like Ulrike Almut Sandig, Monica Cantieni, and Christian Kracht, as well as graphic novelists like Aisha Franz and Bea Davies, will attend the event. Renowned publishers and representatives from international literature festivals will also be present.
