Dr. Jaishankar to Fortify Indo-Pacific Ties in Australia, Singapore Trip

New Delhi: Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, will embark on a pivotal visit to Australia and Singapore from November 3-8, 2024. The trip aims to fortify bilateral relations, foster cooperation, and discuss key global issues.

In Australia, Dr. Jaishankar will inaugurate India’s fourth consulate in Brisbane, reinforcing India’s diplomatic presence. He will co-chair the 15th Foreign Ministers’ Framework Dialogue with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong in Canberra, addressing bilateral relations and global challenges.

Dr. Jaishankar will deliver a keynote address at the 2nd Raisina Down Under in Canberra, convening thought leaders and experts. He will also engage with Australian leaders, parliamentarians, and the Indian diaspora.

In Singapore, Dr. Jaishankar will address the 8th Roundtable of ASEAN-India Network of Think Tanks on November 8. He will meet Singapore’s leadership to review the close partnership and explore enhanced cooperation opportunities.

This visit underscores India’s growing global influence and commitment to nurturing strategic relationships in the Indo-Pacific region. Dr. Jaishankar’s diplomatic expertise will further strengthen India’s ties with Australia and Singapore.
