Discover the Beauty of Korean Art at India Art Fair 2025

New Delhi: The Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) made a striking impression at the India Art Fair 2025, showcasing the best of Korean contemporary art. The fair, which runs from February 6 to 9, features a dedicated Korean exhibition booth, highlighting the works of renowned artists Kim Keun-joong, Lee Gil-woo, and Kim Deok-han.

The KCCI exhibition booth at the India Art Fair 2025 kicked off in a presence of Dr. Sanjeev Kishor Goutam, Director General of the National Gallery of Modern Art, as the chief guest.

The KCCI’s participation in the fair marks a significant milestone in the growing cultural exchange between India and Korea. With the Korean Wave sweeping across India, interest in Korean art, culture, and lifestyle is on the rise.

“We are delighted to share the richness and diversity of Korean art with the Indian audience,” said Hwang Il Yong, Director of KCCI. “Our booth showcases the unique blend of traditional and contemporary Korean art, reflecting the country’s vibrant cultural heritage.”

The KCCI’s booth is featuring a stunning array of paintings, lacquer works, and paper art. Kim Keun-joong’s bold and intricate paintings reinterpret ancient Korean murals, while Lee Gil-woo’s incense-burning technique on Korean paper creates mesmerizing landscapes. Kim Deok-han’s lacquer works, with their subtle colors and textures, evoke a sense of serenity and contemplation.

The India Art Fair 2025 is being held at the National Small Industries Corporation Exhibition Ground (NSIC) in New Delhi. The KCCI’s booth is a testament to the growing cultural ties between India and Korea, and a celebration of the beauty and diversity of Korean art.
