CNS Admiral Tripathi Embarks on Four-Day Visit to Bangladesh
Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), arrived in Dhaka, Bangladesh on July 1, 2024, for a four-day official visit aimed at consolidating bilateral defence relations and exploring new avenues for naval cooperation between India and Bangladesh.
During his visit, Admiral Tripathi is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with his counterpart, Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, Chief of the Naval Staff, Bangladesh Navy, and review the Passing Out Parade at the Bangladesh Naval Academy (BNA) in Chittagong on July 4, 2024.
The CNS will also hold bilateral discussions with the Chiefs of the Bangladesh Army and Air Force, the Principal Staff Officer Armed Forces Division, and senior leadership of the Bangladesh Government. Additionally, he will address participants at the National Defence College, Dhaka, and visit key defence facilities.
The naval cooperation between India and Bangladesh has been strong, encompassing operational interactions, bilateral naval exercises, capacity building, capability enhancement, and training initiatives. This visit is expected to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between the navies of both countries.
The four-day visit aims to enhance defence relations, explore new avenues for cooperation, and reinforce the strong ties between the two nations.
