Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the Indian Armed Forces as “strong pillars of national security” and “unparalleled globally” during an Armed Forces ceremony in Lucknow on September 3. He emphasized the forces’ role in tackling challenging situations within the country and their status as national heroes.
“The Indian Armed Forces are unparalleled globally. Even India’s enemies acknowledge the strength, discipline, and technical prowess of its armed forces.” Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed these sentiments during an Armed Forces ceremony.
CM Yogi highlighted the state’s contribution to the nation’s security, citing its youth’s significant role in every war. He assured the government’s commitment to the welfare of serving and retired soldiers and their families.
The ceremony showcased the coordination between the Army, Air Force, and Navy, reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of an Integrated Command. CM Yogi also mentioned the progress made in establishing defense manufacturing corridors in Uttar Pradesh, enhancing the country’s military strength and national security.
In 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of two defense manufacturing corridors at the Investors Summit in Lucknow. One of these corridors spans six nodes in Uttar Pradesh, where the state government has made significant strides in coordinating with the Ministry of Defense.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the rapid progress of key projects, including DRDO BrahMos in Lucknow and Bharat Dynamics Limited in Jhansi, which will enhance India’s military capabilities and national security by developing cutting-edge technology on Indian soil. Uttar Pradesh is poised to play a pivotal role in these national defense efforts.
The Defense Corridor also generates substantial employment opportunities for the state’s youth. The successful Defense Expo in Lucknow in 2020 was a crucial investment milestone, further solidifying the state’s position in the defense manufacturing sector.
He extended his wishes to the Armed Forces and noted that the ceremony would inspire society and the younger generation to understand the forces’ strength and vital role in ensuring national security.
