New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has taken a significant step towards enhancing aviation security in India by establishing an Internal Quality Control Unit (IQCU). The IQCU will be responsible for ensuring world-class security procedures and technology at Indian airports.
The IQCU will operate under the Aviation Security Control Center (ASCC), which was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in July last year. The unit will be led by a senior CISF officer and a team of certified Aviation Security (AVSEC) instructors, national auditors, and experienced personnel.
The IQCU will be responsible for standardizing security procedures, recommending technological advancements, conducting internal audits, and monitoring quality control across 68 airports nationwide. The unit will also cover airports under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (UDAAN), ensuring enhanced security measures across the country.
The Internal Quality Control Unit (IQCU) will concentrate on standardizing security procedures, driving technological advancements, conducting internal audits, monitoring quality control, and analyzing feedback to enhance aviation security.
With the establishment of the IQCU, the CISF aims to provide world-class aviation security, safeguarding the nation’s critical infrastructure and ensuring the safety of passengers and airport staff.
