The All India K-pop Contest 2024 marks its 14th edition, solidifying its position as a flagship event of the Korean Cultural Centre India. This year, a staggering 10,559 participants from across the country registered for the contest, making it the largest K-pop competition in India. Spanning six months, the contest comprises four rounds: online, regional, semi-finale, and grand finale.
The All India K-pop Contest 2024 is a six-month extravaganza, spanning four exciting rounds: online, regional, semi-finale, and grand finale. The journey began with the online qualifiers round, held from May 17th to June 28th, where K-pop enthusiasts from across India shared their performance videos. A panel of experts evaluated these videos based on skill, expression, pronunciation, similarity to the original song, and stage presence. The talented selected participants will now take center stage in the regional round, held across 11 cities. Bengaluru kicks off the regional round on Saturday, featuring 74 participants showcasing their exceptional skills in 15 dance and 15 vocal performances. The winners of each group will advance to the semi-final round in New Delhi on October 19th, 2024, one step closer to K-pop stardom!
The regional round caravan of the All India K-POP Contest will embark on a thrilling journey across India, making stops in Kohima on July 28th, Kolkata on August 3rd, Itanagar on August 10th, Mumbai on August 10th, Chennai on August 11th, Hyderabad on August 18th, New Delhi on August 18th, Ahmedabad on August 25th, Bhopal on September 1st, and Lucknow on September 1st.
Over 300 talented participants will showcase their skills in these regional rounds, vying for a spot in the grand finale. The grand finale of the ‘All India K-POP Contest 2024 presented by LG’ is set to take place at the cutting-edge Yashobhoomi exhibition and convention centre in New Delhi on November 23rd, 2024. And the stakes are high – the winners will earn an incredible chance to visit Korea, the heartland of K-pop!
