India-Italy Military Cooperation Group Meeting Concludes in Rome

In a step towards strengthening bilateral defense ties, the 13th edition of the India-Italy Military Cooperation Group meeting concluded in Rome, Italy. The two-day meeting, held from March 20-21, was co-chaired by senior officials from India and Italy.
The meeting focused on exploring new avenues to expand bilateral military cooperation. Key agenda points included enhanced exchange programs, capability development efforts, and strengthening collaboration between the Indian and Italian armed forces. The meeting also reviewed ongoing defense engagements, assessing progress and exploring ways to optimize future interactions.
The Military Cooperation Group serves as a key institutional mechanism to enhance defense cooperation between the armed forces of both nations. This cooperation aims to foster stronger military-to-military engagements and strategic collaboration, ultimately contributing to regional and global peace and stability.
The Indian delegation was led by the Deputy Assistant Chief of Integrated Defence Staff IDC, while the Italian side was represented by the Deputy Head of the Strategic Direction and Military Cooperation Division of the Italian Defence General Staff.
The successful conclusion of the 13th Military Cooperation Group meeting paves the way for further strengthening defense cooperation between India and Italy, reinforcing their shared commitment to advancing military capabilities and addressing common security concerns.
