Maharashtra Police Emerges Victorious at 15th All India Police Commando Competition

Gurugram: The 15th All India Police Commando Competition concluded today at the CRPF Group Centre in Gurugram, with Maharashtra Police being crowned the overall champions.

Maharashtra Police secured the top spot, followed closely by BSF and ITBP, which bagged the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. In the standalone sniper competition, NSG clinched the Gold, with Maharashtra and Rajasthan securing Silver and Bronze.

The competition was inaugurated by Tapan Kumar Deka, Director, Intelligence Bureau, and Chairman, All India Police Sports Control Board. Addressing the gathering, Deka emphasized the importance of commando training in modern policing and lauded the participants for their dedication and hard work.

The competition was designed to test the physical and tactical prowess of the commandos, with events such as obstacle courses, firing, and tactical maneuvers. The participants were evaluated on their skills, strategy, and teamwork, with the winning teams demonstrating exceptional expertise and coordination.

The Director General of CRPF G.P. Singh, congratulated the winning teams and participants, praising their remarkable performances. He emphasized the importance of such competitions in fostering excellence and camaraderie among the security forces.

The 15th All India Police Commando Competition was a resounding success, showcasing the highest standards of professionalism and dedication among India’s security forces. The event, which began on 10 February 2025, saw 21 teams from across the country competing in various commando skills.
