Abujhmad Rises Above Naxalism, Embraces Sports and Unity

Abujhmad : In a significant shift, Abujhmad, once plagued by Naxalism, is now embracing a new identity. The upcoming “Abujhmad Peace Half Marathon 2025” on March 2 is a testament to the region’s transformation, highlighting its talent, potential, and unity.
Over 5,000 participants will converge for this landmark event, featuring 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km race categories. This inclusive approach ensures that athletes and first-time runners alike can participate, fostering a sense of community and togetherness.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai emphasized, “Abujhmad’s identity will no longer be defined by Naxalism, but by the strength and aspirations of its people. Sports have the power to unite us, and this marathon marks a new beginning for Abujhmad.”
The event organizers have ensured a seamless experience for participants, with arrangements for parking, accommodation, food, and medical facilities along the route. A real-time tracking system and LED indicators will provide live updates and navigation assistance.
A senior state sports department official noted, “This marathon is a crucial step in redefining Abujhmad’s identity. Sports can drive positive change, and this event will empower the region’s youth.”
A Bastar division administrative officer added, “The ‘Abujhmad Peace Half Marathon 2025’ will showcase the region’s resilience and determination. Abujhmad is no longer a symbol of fear, but a beacon of hope and opportunity.”
