Elite Commandos Gather for All India Police Commando Competition

Gurugram: The country’s top commandos have converged in Gurugram for the 15th All India Police Commando Competition, a rigorous test of physical and tactical proficiency. The event, which kicked off today, will see 21 teams from the Central Armed Police Forces and State Police compete for top honors.

Inaugurating the competition CRPF’s Director General G.P.Singh said, “This competition is not just about winning, but about building stronger bonds, enhancing teamwork, and empowering our commandos to reach their full potential,”.

The competition, scheduled to run from February 8 to February 22, will feature a series of challenging stages designed to assess the commandos’ operational readiness. The events will push the participants to their limits, testing their physical endurance, tactical skills, and mental toughness.

Last year’s edition of the competition was hosted in Visakhapatnam, where the Andhra Pradesh Commando team emerged victorious. This year’s event is being hosted by the CRPF for the first time, marking a significant milestone for the organization.

The 15th All India Police Commando Competition is a testament to the country’s commitment to building a strong and capable security force. The event promises to be an exciting display of physical and tactical prowess, with the country’s top commandos vying for top honors.

This year, 21 teams—comprising 663 personnel, including 44 gazetted officers from the Central Armed Police Forces and State Police—are competing in one of the most demanding tests of physical and tactical proficiency.
