Chhattisgarh Vows to Eradicate Naxalism by March 2026

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has announced that the state is committed to becoming completely free of Naxalism by March 2026. This ambitious goal follows a significant security operation in Bijapur, where 31 Naxal insurgents were neutralized.

The Chief Minister praised the security forces for their bravery and tactical prowess, describing the mission as a major breakthrough in the fight against Left-Wing Extremism (LWE).

“Our brave soldiers have stormed into the strongholds of Naxal insurgents, striking at the very core of their operations. Their unparalleled bravery and operational excellence reflect the commitment and strength of our security forces,” said CM Sai

He also paid tribute to the two security personnel who lost their lives in the operation, extending his condolences to their families.

CM Sai credited the success of the anti-Naxal campaign to the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He emphasized that the state is witnessing a paradigm shift, with Bastar transitioning from a region of fear and violence to one of freedom and progress.

The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful and prosperous Chhattisgarh, where development reaches every village and citizen. He stated that the ongoing success of security forces, coupled with the government’s welfare programs, is paving the way for a Naxal-free state.

With the countdown to complete eradication underway, Chhattisgarh is poised to become a model for counter-insurgency operations. The state’s progress will be closely watched in the coming months as it strives to achieve its ambitious goal.
