India, Mongolia Boost Border Cooperation with Landmark Talks

New Delhi: In a strategic move to bolster regional security, India and Mongolia have solidified their bilateral ties.
Director General Level Talks between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the General Authority for Border Protection (GABP), centered on fortifying cooperation in training and capacity building, border management in mountainous regions, and special force training. The two forces also underscored the imperative of mutual cooperation in addressing shared security challenges.
The BSF and GABP agreed to exchange cutting-edge technological solutions to prevent and detect crimes, as well as best practices in border protection, including security of border ports and inspection of incoming vehicles.
The five-day talks, held from February 2 to 7, 2025, in New Delhi, were headed by BSF DG Daljit Singh Chawdhary and Major General Lkhagvasuren KH, Head of GABP and Commander of Border Troops.
The successful conclusion of the talks demonstrates the unwavering commitment of India and Mongolia to fortify their bilateral relationship and enhance cooperation in border management. The next round of talks is slated to take place in Mongolia in September 2025.
The strengthened cooperation between the BSF and GABP is poised to significantly enhance the security and stability of the region, while also promoting mutual understanding and trust between the two nations.
