Korean Cultural Centre India Celebrates 12th Anniversary with K-Classic Music Concert
New Delhi: The Korean Cultural Centre India marked its 12th anniversary with a captivating K-Classic Music Concert, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Korea. The two-day event, held on December 10th and 11th, featured a talented trio from the Korea Philharmonic Orchestra.
The concert was a unique fusion of traditional and modern music, with the artists narrating the stories behind each song. The audience was treated to a diverse repertoire, including Korea’s iconic folk song, Arirang, and the popular theme song from ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Jai Ho’. The musicians also surprised the audience with a rendition of BTS’s hit song ‘Dynamite’.
The event highlighted the growing cultural exchange between Korea and India. The performers, including violinists Kim Pil Kyun and Kim Min Jung, and pianist Ryu In Kyung, demonstrated their exceptional talent and artistry.
The concert was well-received by the audience, with many praising the unique blend of traditional and modern music. College student Pragya Mukherjee said, “I had an amazing time at the concert. The melody was captivating, and I felt emotionally invested in the performance.”
Hwang Il Yong, Director of Korean Cultural Centre India, emphasized the importance of cultural exchange, stating, “This concert provides a platform for local students and young people to explore and appreciate Korean culture.”
