Indian Army Showcases Innovative Solutions at Inno-Yoddha 2024-25
New Delhi: The Indian Army’s annual Idea & Innovation Competition and Seminar, Inno-Yoddha 2024-25, was held at Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.The event showcased innovative solutions developed by the Indian Army to address operational challenges.
General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, attended the event and felicitated the top 22 innovations out of 75 fielded this year. The selected innovations will be taken forward for production to fulfill the requirements of field formations.
In his address, General Dwivedi emphasized the importance of innovation and self-reliance in the Indian Army. He applauded the innovators’ creativity and ingenuity, noting that innovation is a mindset that drives progress and shapes the future.
Army Chief said, “recent conflicts have shown that innovation is not just a word; it is a mindset. It is the spark that drives progress and shapes the future”.
Inno-Yoddha has fostered significant innovations over the past four years, resulting in 26 Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and the successful completion of 21 innovations. Technology has been transferred to the private industry for three innovations, including Exploder, Agniastra, and Vidyut Rakshak.
The Indian Army’s efforts towards innovation and self-reliance align with the government’s vision of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. Inno-Yoddha demonstrates the Indian Army’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among its personnel.
