Japan Embassy Hosts Inter-School Origami Competition

New Delhi : The Embassy of Japan, in collaboration with Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, organizing the Annual Inter-School Origami Competition. Origami is the ancient art of Japanese paper folding.

This competition would present an opportunity for the participating students and teachers to enhance their technique of the art of paper folding.

Event is scheduled on 14th Nov, there will be competitions in the categories of Junior, Middle, Senior Students and Teachers.

Origami, a traditional Japanese art form, involves intricately folding paper into diverse shapes, including animals, plants and everyday objects. While often enjoyed recreationally, origami also incorporates spiritual and ceremonial dimensions.

Recently, origami’s artistic potential has been reevaluated, yielding exceptional works and innovative folding techniques. Additionally, researchers explore origami’s mathematical foundations, examining geometric principles underlying these delicate creations
