Ayodhya Readies for Ramayana Mela: CM Yogi Adityanath Unveils First Poster
Ayodhya : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Ramayana Mela celebrations in Ayodhya on Diwali day, unveiling the event’s first poster. The mela is scheduled to take place from December 5 to 8, 2024, at Karsevak Puram.
The poster features a scene from the marriage of Lord Shri Ram and Mata Sita, showcasing the iconic ‘Jaimala’ moment. The annual event has grown significantly under the Chief Minister’s patronage, promising an even grander spectacle this year.
Eminent saints and dignitaries, including Mahant Raghavacharya and Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi, attended the inauguration.
Later, the Chief Minister attended the centenary celebrations of Yug Tulsi Param Pujya Maharaj Ramkinkar Ji at the Ramayanam Ashram. He performed ‘gauseva’ and pujan at the cowshed and fed bananas to the cows.
The Ramayana Mela has become a prominent cultural event in Ayodhya, attracting devotees and tourists nationwide. With the Chief Minister’s support, this year’s event is expected to draw even larger crowds.
In a festive spirit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the residents of Vantangiya village in Gorakhpur, to celebrate Deepawali. Emphasizing social unity, he cautioned against divisive forces seeking to split society along caste, regional, and linguistic lines.
During his address, CM Yogi inaugurated 74 development projects worth Rs 185 crore for various gram panchayats across the district. He highlighted the government’s commitment to security, respect, development, and prosperity for all citizens without discrimination.
CM Yogi also stressed the significance of Ramrajya, where everyone benefits from government schemes without bias. He noted that the vision of Ramrajya remained incomplete for 500 years but is now being realized under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership.
The Chief Minister encouraged the integration of the Vantangiya community into mainstream society, highlighting transformative changes in the community over the past seven years. He distributed benefits to recipients of key government schemes and extended Diwali gifts to beneficiaries.
CM Yogi also inaugurated drinking water projects and development initiatives in 32 gram panchayats, advancing infrastructure and facilities for the region. He visited stalls showcasing various government departments’ initiatives and engaged with villagers during a tour of the village.
