Chhattisgarh Government Bolsters Hospital Security with Armed Retired Army Personnel

In a bid to fortify hospital security, the Chhattisgarh government has decided to deploy armed retired army personnel in all government hospitals across the state. This move aims to strengthen security measures, uplift patient and staff morale, and deter potential wrongdoers.

The decision comes in the wake of a recent incident at a Kolkata medical college, which raised nationwide concerns about hospital security. Acting on Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s directives, Health Minister inspected key government hospitals in Raipur, reviewing security arrangements and issuing further instructions to ensure robust and foolproof security.

The deployment of retired army personnel is expected to significantly enhance hospital security, addressing concerns raised by doctors who went on strike demanding better security measures. The strike was called off following an appeal from the Supreme Court.

This initiative demonstrates the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and medical professionals. By leveraging the expertise of retired army personnel, the state aims to create a secure and confidence-inspiring atmosphere in its government hospitals.
