Modi Addresses Indian Community in Russia, Highlights India’s Transformation and Global Contributions
Moscow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the Indian community in Russia at an event in Moscow. In his address, he expressed gratitude for the warm reception and praised the community’s contribution to strengthening the India-Russia relationship.
Prime Minister Modi highlighted the remarkable transformation India has undergone in the last decade, a source of great pride for all Indians. He outlined his government’s objective in its third term to become the world’s third-largest economy, driven by India’s impressive economic growth, digital and fintech successes, green development achievements, and impactful socio-economic programs.
Emphasizing India’s commitment to global prosperity, Prime Minister Modi noted that the country is making significant contributions to addressing climate change, achieving sustainable development goals, and promoting peace, dialogue, and diplomacy to resolve global issues. He encouraged the Indian community to continue fostering a stronger partnership with Russia, announcing the opening of two new Indian Consulates in Kazan and Ekaterinburg to boost people-to-people ties.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the community’s efforts in preserving Indian cultural traditions in Russia and sharing them with the Russian people. The event was marked by enthusiasm and applause, reflecting the strong bond between the Indian diaspora and their homeland.
